“So That’s How It Works” Behind The Scenes Tour - Media Team
  • Go behind the scenes with the Media Team at Abba's House for a first-hand look at their sound, image projection, lighting and video facilities and equipment. Keys to Effective Communication - Ken Hartley, Abba's House Pastor of Leadership & Worship
  • 90% of all conflict comes from improper communication. Ken has been trained in this area by Dr. John C. Maxwell and Dr. Robert Rohm (Personality Insights and DISC personality expert). In this seminar he will show you how to understand how you process information as well as those you work with and serve. You'll also learn practical steps to conflict resolution regardless of your personality style. If you understand yourself better and you understand other people better, doesn't it make sense that you'll all get along better? Come find out how!
2:00pm
Social Media, Students & the Gospel - Seth Coleman, Abba's House Pastor of Students
  • It's hard to imagine our lives without cell phones, but many of us still remember the "good ole days" without the constant distraction of today's digital technology. As we look to minister to this generation of tech savvy 2-year olds and 12-year olds with 100k followers, it is imperative to not only embrace social media, but learn how to use it to advance the Gospel throughout the world. You'll explore proven strategies and dangerous pitfalls during our discussion.
Church Administration 101 - Denise Craig, Abba's House Executive Pastor
  • Church administration is often viewed as boring or not important, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Abba's House Executive Pastor gives you an exciting overview of church administration. Learn why keeping your house in order is so important and how good systems can help you on your mission.
7:00pm - Ron Phillips

BREAKOUT SESSIONS
1:00pm
Building an Epic Kids Ministry - Adam Bayne, Abba's House Pastor of Preschool & Children
  • Whether starting from scratch of relaunching an existing children's ministry, we'll dive into what it takes to create a ministry that focuses on excellence and is always dreaming of ways to improve. Here's the good news: these steps are not impacted by the size of your church, your ministry or your budget. Every leader has the potential to build an epic kids ministry!
Multigenerational Worship - Ken Hartley, Abba's House Pastor of Leadership & Worship
  • More and more today we see young people leaving the church in alarming rates (up to 82% according to Barna Research). How do you combat this and retain more young people in your church? We believe multigenerational worship is the key. Come find out why this works for any church of any size and how it can help you retain and grow dynamic, effective, and excellent worshiper leaders. This is not a seminar on music. It's a seminar on fulfilling the prophecy of Amos 9:11.
2:00pm
Embracing Busyness in a Nonstop World - Seth Coleman, Abba's House Pastor of Students
  • We are living in the most active time in the history of the world. Families are struggling to schedule a family dinner together between ball practice, ballet and so many other meaningful "good" activities almost every night of the week. Wednesday nights are no longer dedicated to church services in many of our communities. This leads to an ever puzzling question....How do the principles of the New Testament church fit into this new age? Where do we find time for discipleship, fellowship, worship, service and evangelism? We need a new approach and we need it fast. We will discuss reasons why church activities take a back seat to everything else too many times.
Making Room For the Gospel - Angie McGregor, Abba's House Pastor of Adult Ministries
  • We’ve been told that you just can’t share the gospel today, that evangelism doesn’t work in today’s world. So how will people ever come face to face with Jesus if there is no room for the Gospel in the current culture? The answer might be more simple than you think. In this session, you will learn how to mobilize your church in a way that isn’t frightening, or crazy. It won’t cost a lot of money. And if it’s embraced by even a small portion of your church family, there will be measurable results.
7:00pm - Jentezen Franklin

Wednesday, March 6

10am - Jacob King

BREAKOUT SESSIONS
1:00pm
Leading Through Transition - Denise Craig, Abba's House Executive Pastor
  • Change in the church is inevitable, whether it be a crisis or a planned transition. Learn the best practices for navigating the waters of change within your church from one who has been at the helm and successfully steered through transition.
Cultivating a Beautiful Heart - Angie McGregor, Abba's House Pastor of Adult Ministries
  • Most of us aren't willing to talk about it, but the ministry can take a beautiful heart and make it really ugly. But not wanting to disappoint or admit we are struggling can lead to a heart that is broken and feels like it is beyond repair. In this session we will explore loyalty, disappointment, faith, change, fresh vision and loving through disappointment. Many people struggle with heart issues. Come experience a renewed heart.
2:00pm
Preaching in the 21st Century - Ron Phillips & Ronnie Phillips
  • Homiletics is the art of preaching or writing sermons. Dr. Ron Phillips has been referred to as one of the greatest expository preachers in the world today and you can learn from one of greatest to ever do it. Pastor Ronnie Phillips, Jr. was mentored in preaching by his father and now combines expository preaching with a topical style that includes encouragement and evangelism. Learn their styles and how you can apply it to your ministry. You will have opportunities to ask questions and learn some much needed skills to reach this generation with the gospel.
