Today marks one week since the first members of the team touched down in Guatemala City, and began the long trek to Huehuetenango. It has been an amazing trip, with 1,172 people being ministered to and treated, and 351 praying to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior....

It was the final day of the clinic, and the proverbial sprint to the finish. For the people of Suculque, it was their last chance (for now) for free medical care and vision screening. For the team, it was the final chance to get everyone in that needed help, but trying to see everyone was a monumental task....

Well, in spite of a few members of the team contracting a stomach bug, everyone showed themselves to be troopers when they arrived at the clinic first thing this morning. Upon arriving, the people waiting already numbered around 60. The weather was stunning as the team began to prep for the task ahead when the first challenge presented itself...

From the very start of this trip, there had been signs that great things were going to happen. Halfway through our initial travel to Huehuetenango, we were made aware of the presence of our guardian angels...

You might call today the calm before the storm... this is the last day of preparation before the whirlwind of activity that accompanies the medical side of the mission....
