Paulette and I are very excited about the topic for our teaching at this year's Big Event. Yesterday we sat down to work on the details and the Lord has given us what I believe is going to be very practical teaching on a term that is thrown out a lot in charismatic circles, almost flippantly, and not necessarily taken seriously by non-charismatic evangelicals. We will be talking about FAVOR!

 

Favor is God giving you acceptance by Him and with the people you come across in your daily life. So in the four conference sessions from Friday to Sunday, we will help you understand 8 principles that will help you discover how to enjoy favor in the here and now. We will find these principles as we look at the life of Ruth whose story is found in the Old Testament book bearing her name.

Get Together--life in spiritual alignment

Get Busy--life in action

Get Under--life of submission

Get Close--life of intimacy

 

So I hope you have already registered for the Big Event and marked the weekend off as "Busy" on your personal calendar so that you can come to Chattanooga and spend time centered around scripture with Paulette and me. We are studying! Angie and the media staff are working hard to prepare a weekend for you that will be filled with fun and opportunities to be blessed.

 

Since my surgery I have had countless cards and emails from people telling me how they can't wait until I'm back in the pulpit again. While those are encouraging sentiments, I hope they are much more than that. I hope you mean it and will make the effort to join me around the word of God for the weekend. It matters to me if you are not there. You will be taught, encouraged, fueled and ministered to if you attend.

 

I'm not in the office yet, but I am deep in study of the word as my body heals. God is speaking to me and without question, He has given me favor to release to you!

 

So get up, get going on your plans, get over your reservations about giving up the weekend and let's get together August 3-5! Let's make this a truly BIG EVENT!
