I believe that I experienced the greatest presence of God that I have ever felt in my life last night at Abba’s House in Hixson, TN. You may ask, “What was the result, or why do you say that it was the greatest experience of God in your life?” First of all, there are never any words in the human language to explain what I received last night. If I could type in the Spirit, it would probably make more sense than what I am typing now. I can say this -- in that instant, there was no pain in my body. My mind was not wandering on what I need to do today, or where I was going tomorrow. I was deep in the presence of Jesus. This is what I heard, “The essence of revival is prayer.” The definition of Essence is the basic, real, and invariable nature of a thing or its significant individual feature or features.

If we, the church, are to see real revival, we have to stop trying to bring it in our flesh with programs and distractions of man’s thought processes. Instead, we should open up the Word of God and “pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Those are basic principals of seeing and receiving the power of God. Pray. Be real and allow the true nature of revival to spring forth out of the river of living water down on the inside of you. Then and only then will we see what we are crying out for.

Here is probably the greatest statement I will make in this entire blog. When it’s the real thing, you won’t have to ask, “Are we in revival?” The features of revival will speak for themselves. Souls are won to the Lord and get committed to the kingdom, sick are healed, dead are raised, families are mended, devils are cast out, and no matter what church you walk into on a Sunday morning, or department store on Friday, the spirit of the living God, Jesus, will be present. Will you pray?
