To help us stay connected with missions we support globally, we have Champions assigned to each mission outreach. These Champions are people who have a God-given passion for a specific mission field and serve as a liaison between Abba’s House and that mission field. Learn more about our Champions and the ministries they represent.
Dominican Republic: Pastor José Rodriguez - Champion Jim Biggs
The Abba's House Children's Center in Cien Fuegos, Dominican Republic educates and feeds the children, many of whom were eating from the trash dump before the Children's Center opened.
Thailand: Stephen & Angela Scarbrough - Champion Krystal Scarbrough
Stephen and Angela Scarbrough are currently serving as missionary Bible teachers in Lakeside, Montana. Their desire is to be trained as Bible teachers over the next two years and equip young believers in how to inductively study God’s Word - observing the text, interpreting it with the author and original readers in mind, and applying the text to their lives. After two years, they plan to return to Thailand and serve in this capacity. Angela has a heart to see Thai believers and missionaries grow in their understanding, love, and application of God’s Word. Stephen has a heart to see those who have never heard God’s story to be able to hear it in their heart language and come to know Jesus.

Andrea now leads Word Made Flesh Bolivia, which offers street outreach, social services, therapy, discipleship, life-skills training, professional skills training and employment (see www.sutisana.com), as well as an after-school tutoring and outreach to children affected by prostitution. Andy serves as the South America Regional Director, overseeing the work of WMF in Bolivia, Brasil and Peru. The Bakers are an active family with 4 boys who enjoy adventure, value justice and celebrate family.

Guatemala: LynnAnn Murphy - Champion Samantha Steinmann
Nestled in the Cuchumatanes Mountains of northwestern Guatemala, Huehuetenango has been home to LynnAnn and her daughter, Jessie, since June of 2010. Her primary passion is teaching the Bible to the Mam Indians, but after seeing the extreme physical need of the indigenous population, God led her to also start the Loving InDeed program in August 2014. Through LI, various widows and their children–over 160 people in total–receive food and housing assistance, training, free medical care, and spiritual support every week. Right now they use a local church building, but are in the process of building their own ministry center out of which to run the program. They will also be putting in a clinic run by local volunteer doctors and a workshop for teen boys to learn carpentry skills. In January of 2016, the Loving In Deed scholarship program began to assist in providing an education to students who would otherwise not have the opportunity to study past the 6th grade. This year more than 15 students have received this assistance.

Napal: Dustan & Darlene Stanley - Champion Frank Schleicher
HASTEN International Mission was originally founded under the name Revolutionary Life International in 2008 by Dustan and Darlene Stanley, a married couple who just wanted to tell the world about Jesus. Thirty-four nations later, they are still telling as many people as they can about Jesus, and they have growing ministry works in Nepal and the USA. In late 2016, Dustan and Darlene put their American work on hold to establish HASTEN Nepal. The first programs included sewing and literacy classes, English classes, community gardens, disaster relief, a small weekly feeding program, and startup farms. In early 2018, HASTEN Nepal was able to double its impact by doubling nearly all of its programs and greatly expanding the feeding programs. They also launched United Freedom Church, HASTEN’s church plant in Pokhara, Nepal.
